June 2011 - The Western New York Vascular Society celebrates the 84th birthday of Dr. Syde A. Taheri, M.D., and honors him for his contributions.

     --- Upcoming events: Lab testing of a medical device invented by Dr. Taheri will begin at the Seoul National University College of Medicine in South Korea.  It is a special catheter to selectively cool the heart to lower metabolism and reduce damage to the myocardial cells following a myocardial infarction.  The goal of this device is to extend the amount of time before bypass by four to six hours.  Contact Dr. Taheri to learn more.

September 2007 - Dr. Syde A. Taheri, M.D., celebrates his promotion to the position of professor at University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biological Sciences.

June 2007 - Dr. Syde A. Taheri, M.D., presents at American Society For Artificial Internal Organs conference in Chicago.

September 2006 - Dr. Syde A. Taheri, M.D., releases a video demonstration of the Taheri-LaDuca Endovascular System designed to treat aortic arch aneurysms.  See the video.

Spring 2006 - Dr. Syde A. Taheri, M.D., appears in the DYC Newsmakers in D'Mensions, a D'Youville College publication.

March 15, 2006 - Syde A. Taheri, M.D., graciously accepts a 2006 D'Youville College Achievement in Health Care Award on Wednesday, March 15, 2006.   Dr. Taheri was nominated for this award for his "distinguished work and inventions designed for treatment of patients with thoracic and cardiac disease."  He is one of two people selected for this prestigious annual award.

December 2005 - Dr. Taheri is selected to receive the 2006 Achievement in Health Care Award from D'Youville College.

October 2005 - Dr. Taheri will speak before the 7th Annual Western New York Vascular Symposium.  October 21, 2005 at the Adam's Mark Hotel in Buffalo, New York.

June 2005 - Dr. Taheri is featured in Kaleida Health Foundation's 2004 Annual Report, titled "Everyday Heroes."  Click here to read it.
